Marjorie Simpson Obituary

March 12, 1920 – July 29, 2009

Marjorie Simpson, affectionately known as, "Marge" died peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Charlotte, NC with her family at her side.

Marge was born on March 12, 1920 in Eaton Rapids, MI. She married Herbert "Herb" Simpson. Their marriage was everlasting until Herb's death. They were married 61 years. Marge and Herb ran the Trails Bar in Newhall for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW, Women's Auxiliary and Women of The Moose Lodge.

Marge is survived by her son, Richard Gable, her daughter, Kelly Oyama, her two grandsons, Kavon and Cody Oyama , and her devoted friend, Jan Oviat.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the American Legion Post 507, 24527 Spruce St. Newhall, CA.

Marge's family wrote, "We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to each of you for your loving support and many kind deeds. May Gods Blessings be multiplied to each of you."

We were sorry to hear of your loss of a wonderful mother. Marge and Herb were wonderful people. They treated everyone at the Trails Bar as a long lost friend. We shared many stories about Michigan and Interlochen. We miss them both.
