Marjorie Hill Obituary

Marjorie McKelvey Hill RIDGEVILLE, SC - Marjorie McKelvey Hill, 86, of Ridgeville SC, widow of William Danner Hill, Sr., died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, October 4, 2014 at Cypress United Methodist Church at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Cypress United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, Friday evening from 5 - 7 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to Cypress United Methodist Church, 256 County Road S-18-182, Ridgeville, SC 29472. Mrs. Hill was born November 22, 1927 in Berkeley County, SC, a daughter of Oliver Cecil McKelvey and Etta Grooms McKelvey. She was an active member of Cypress United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Survivors include one son, William D. Hill, Jr. of Lebanon; three daughters, Andrea H. West of Moncks Corner, Elaine H. Swicord of Pinopolis and Pam H. Tiencken of Daniel Island; one brother, Jervey McKelvey of Summerville; eight grandchildren, Carla, Susan, Steven, Will, Julie, Beth, Katie and Daniel; eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandson, Josh. The family would like to thank Marjorie's caregivers and Agape Hospice for their excellent service and support.
