Marilyn Whitehead Obituary

So thankful for the part Mrs. Whitehead played in my life. She was my first vocal performance professor at Charleston Southern University (Baptist College in the early 90's). We recently caught up on FACEBOOK. I am thankful for that. So sorry for the loss you feel, but what a beautiful life to have known and now celebrate. Praying for your comfort and peace.

Allison I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I hope your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Kay was one of a kind. Always smiling, always positive about life. I will always remember our fun times at book club together and the many laughs we had working together. I will miss her dearly as will many many others. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Kay is at peace and in no pain. She certainly had a musical life and will be singing in heaven. Our prayers are with you as family as well as her friends. We are glad that we got to see her in
January.

I will be thinking of all of her husband, family and close friends during this time. I will remember Kay fondly not only for many musical talents but also for her gracious and kind spirit. She made you feel good just being in her presence.

Neil - I just heard about Kay! I've been wondering about you and our family and was hoping to reconnect. I am living in New Hampshire now. I feel so sad about this and wanted you to know that I was thinking about you and remembering so many good times. Ed's anniversary of his death was Oct. 17th. Kay will never be forgotton! We loved our time with Ms. Kay. Taylor learning piano and voice and I sitting and listening. She had great patience with her students and such excitement with their accomplishments. We loved our recitals and will miss her as a friend and teacher. May she rest in beautiful peace!! The Bruhl family.
