Marilyn Jean MacDougall Burnham MT. PLEASANT - Marilyn Jean MacDougall Burnham, 88, wife of Robert Corbin Burnham of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. The relatives and friends of Marilyn Burnham are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Friday, May 25, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church on the Isle of Palms at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service. Marilyn was born on September 15, 1923 in Skidmore, Missouri, daughter of the late David Gregory MacDougall and Jeanette Dugan MacDougall. Prior to retiring as a bank teller, Marilyn taught school and worked as an administrative assistant. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family and friends. For the past year Marilyn attended the First United Methodist Church on the Isle of Palms, S.C. She is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lewistown, Pa., which she attended prior to moving to Mt. Pleasant. Marilyn loved music, especially church music, and was the choir director of various churches for over 60 years. She also played the piano during worship services. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Burnham of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Barbara Bates of Chardon, Ohio; two sons, Robert D. Burnham of Idaho Springs, CO and William D. Burnham of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Robin Burnham, Bethany Bryant and Robert Hilscher; seven great grandchildren and one brother, William Lowell MacDougall of Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Gregory MacDougall, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Ave., Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or First United Methodist Church, 12 21st Ave., Isle of Palms, SC 29451 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 428 S.
