Margaret Midyette Obituary

Margaret Midyette N. CHARLESTON - Margaret Chrystine Midyette, a beloved and cherished mother and grandmother, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on October 25, 1938, Margaret was known for her generous spirit and warm heart. Predeceased by her loving husband, James Thomas Midyette and her parents, Alfred Clayton Smith and Margaret Worsham Smith and predeceased by three siblings, Earl, Peggy and Joyce. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Byers (John) of Waverly, GA, two grandsons, Brandon Byers (Megan), and Michael Byers (Alexandria and nine great- grandchildren. Throughout her life, Margaret touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. There was a Life Well Celebrated Service on November 14, 2025 at the family's mausoleum in Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston, SC. Margaret Chrystine Midyette will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by her family and friends.
