Margaret Mauro Obituary

MAURO, Margaret Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 17, 2005, Margaret White Mauro widow of Capt. Charles Thomas Mauro, Jr.. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Margaret W. Mauro are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM, Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. A Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 pm. The family requests memorials be made to Our Lady of Mercy Outreach, PO Box 607, John's Island, SC 29457 or the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Building Fund, 120 Broad St., Charleston, SC 29401. Mrs. Mauro was born in Charleston, a daughter of Francis White and Margaret Egan White on Saturday, July 23, 1910. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School and attended the College of Charleston. Mrs. Mauro was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Garden Club of Charleston, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Chinese Tiffin Club and the Theresians. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann Mauro Barros. Surviving is her daughter, Rose Mauro O'Hara, a son, Charles T. Mauro, III, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. You made me so proud when you hung my Cross Stitch in your Hall way and Stair well. Whenever I spent time with you and Grand Daddy there was always LOVE. I MISS you so MUCH. I do so look forward to seeing you again in Heaven.
