Margaret Iola Marshall Holmes
Conway, SC - Margaret Iola Marshall Holmes of Conway, SC, completed her earthly journey on December 31, 2025, after a prolonged illness. The daughter of James Moore Marshall and Virginia Burroughs Marshall, she was born in Conway, SC, on October 16, 1945. She was a graduate of Conway High School and Emory University.
She married Hal B. Holmes, Jr., in 1970. They have two daughters, Elizabeth H. Everett and Rachel H. Kelly (Miles), and three grandchildren, James Holmes Everett, Quinn Aline Kelly, and Carria Reese Kelly. Margaret is also survived by her sister, Virginia M. Biddle of Conway, and her brother, George Marshall of Murrell's Inlet.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Conway GracePoint church, Brookgreen Gardens, or the charity of your choice.
A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, January 4, from 4-6 PM at Goldfinch Funeral home, Conway chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, at 2 PM at First Baptist Conway GracePoint church at 603 Elm Street, Conway, SC.
