Mrs. Barnes was my Chorus Teacher, piano teacher, mentor, and most importantly-friend and adopted Mother from 5th Grade on. Only in the past few years did she stop sending me a Christmas card. A true Southern Christian Lady.

"Miss Margaret," as she was known to her Summer Park neighbors, was the sunshine that brightened even the darkest day.
For 10 years, we had the privilege of watching her on her morning walks, with Snoopy, and later, Penny. She always had time to chat and share her Southern charm.
We were saddened, when she had to move away from us, into her new home in the Village of Summerville. She left us with so many fond memories.
Rest in eternal peace, Miss Margaret.

Margaret was the epitome of elegance and grace. She was a true Southern lady whom we shall miss. We met her soon after we moved to Summerville. She lived only a few houses from us, and we formed a church small group for fellowship. We played bunco, Mexican Train, hand & foot together. When I joined DAR 8 years ago, Margaret was already a member. God bless her. May she rest in peace.

Ms DuBose will be missed so very much. I will miss our talks over the phone which really made me feel closer to my home in Summerville. She was and will always be a very special person to me and my family.
