Mae Metts Obituary

METTS, Mae BRANCHVILLE - Mrs. Mae Bair Metts, 86 years of age, died Monday November 27, 2006 at her residents. Mrs. Metts was born in Orangeburg co. a daughter of the late Daniel David Bair Sr., and Georgia Smoak Bair. She was the oldest member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Hattie Gardner Prayer Group, the widow of the late Madison Ranson Metts, and a life long resident of the community. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Nov. 30, 2006 at 2:00P.M. at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Gray and Rev. Bobby Ethridge officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before services. Pallbearers are Boley Wimberly, Bernie Summers, Andy Gunter, L.C. Bair, Harry Wimberly, and Robert Smoak. Survived by one son, Mr. George Allen AL Metts and wife Louise of Branchville, two grand children, Robert Kevin Shuler and wife Pam, and Bryan Russell Matthews, two great grand children, Frankie Shuler and Kristopher Matthews, all of ST. George, one sister in law Mrs. Shelby Metts of Branchville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and friends may also call at the residents of Mr. George Allen Metts 115 Flatwoods Rd.
