Lori Elizabeth McKee Bachmeier PINEHURST, NC - Lori Elizabeth McKee Bachmeier of Pinehurst, NC passed away peacefully at FirstHealth Hospice Center Sunday, May 15. She was born November 18, 1960 in Newton, NJ, attended Fredon Elementary School and Kittatinny Regional High School, where she was active in softball and cheerleading. She graduated from Penn State University where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was an avid, lifelong Nittany Lions fan. After graduation, Lori worked in human resources for several international corporations and was very talented at designing and decorating all of their various homes. She loved golf, tennis and animals, to include her childhood horses and her current dog Bradley. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, daughter, step-mother, and dear friend. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Bachmeier; mother, Elizabeth McKee; brother, Scott McKee; children, Melissa and Michael Bachmeier; nieces, Kelsey Ladd and Christina McKee; and many loving friends. She is predeceased by her father, Lester McKee, Aunt Sue; and her niece Marissa McKee. A Private Family Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 21, 2016. A "Celebration of her life" will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Daniel Island Country Club. I was so sorry to hear about Lori. I just found out today. She was one of my closest friends and roommate at Penn State. I met all of you at different times when you visited Lori. You are the kindest mother Lori could have ever had. Scott, I know you and Lori were so close as brother and sister. I also saw your dad has passed away. I am so sorry for your loss for both your dad and Lori. I have so many wonderful memories of Lori. Every memory involves so many laughs and smiles. The first time I went to New York City was with Lori and Scott. A great memory. She was so sweet and so full of life. I was also in her wedding and visited your home in New Jersey several times. So many great memories. I will never forget Lori. My heart is just broken. Thinking of all of you. Marny and I were the roommates with Lori our Senior year of college. Hugs to your family. I was so saddened to learn of Lori's passing, we are way to young, remembering the years at Fredon School, the sleepovers at your house, Kittatinny field hockey and cheerleading to bringing Taylor my daughter over to your house to visit when she was born, my thoughts are of good times but also with Scott and you Mrs. Mckee for your loss........

So satisfying to see that she remained true to herself and her nature to live a full life, filled with many friends and love.
