Lisa was married to her beloved husband Wesley Wills for 26 years, sharing a life built on love and commitment. Lisa grew up in an Air Force family living in multiple locations. She graduated high school in Fort Walton Beach, FL and received both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She began volunteering with the American Red Cross as a teenager as a candy-striper in the Eglin Air Force Base hospital demonstrating from a young age her deep compassion and commitment to helping those in need. She began her professional career teaching in Brunswick, GA. She later served as a Curriculum Director back in Muncie. Eventually, her volunteer work led to full-time employment with American Red Cross culminating as the Volunteer Director for the South Carolina Region.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Wills (SC); her sister, Karen Miller (SC); a beloved aunt, Linda Reed (MN); her dog, Izzy; and numerous beloved cousins, in-laws and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She loved sweets, her dogs, traveling, working with plants in her garden, decorating for holidays and being a gracious host for friends. She was full of spirit, had a love of life, and was tenacious in her will to live.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Due to her love of Christmas and inability to celebrate like she wanted this year, her family is requesting you wear Christmas colors, hats, headbands, pins, etc. if you can to the visitation.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday January 31, 2026 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carolyn J. Miller Nursing Scholarship at Ball State University (Muncie, IN), the American Red Cross, or Dorchester Paws.
