One of the first things you learned at Jestine´s was that the kitchen was small, and Miss Lillie´s spoon was long. If you were going to act stupid around Miss Lillie, it didn´t matter if you were younger and faster. You´d be running around that kitchen apologizing soon enough. Thank you Miss Lillie for keeping it real, and for showing me how age and wisdom defeats young and cocky. I am lucky to have known her.
I know this is a hard loss for the family, and my thoughts are with you.

To the Cross, Hazel, Washington, Williams, and Jacques families, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Your mother and grandmother was the sweetest and kindest friend that I met when I became part of the Christopher family. Mrs. Lillie Mae took me in as part of her family and I will always love and treasure her friendship and yours as well. May your precious memories bring you comfort and peace.
Prayers and Blessings
