Leonard C. Roy, III SUMMERVILLE - Leonard C. "Leny" Roy, III, 61, of Summerville, husband of Kay Whitaker Roy, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at M.U.S.C. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 from 1 o'clock until 2 o'clock. Funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be private. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Mr. Roy was born July 13, 1951 in Washington, DC, son of the late Leonard C. Roy, II and Barbara Welch Roy. He was a long haul truck driver for 25 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are: one son and two daughters: Skipper Roy (Becky) of Walterboro, Jennifer Longnion of Warren, Texas and Tara Clifton of Columbia and four grandchildren, three step children: Dana Smith (Dan) of Dillon, SC, David Hechel of Summerville and Debra Hlavacek (Chip) of Salt Lake City, Utah and four step grandchildren, one sister: Elizabeth Roy of Columbia, niece: Lauren King (Sam) and their daughter: Alice Elizabeth King all of Columbia.
