Lela Colene Suddreth Daniels Blackburn SUMMERVILLE - Lela Colene Suddreth Daniels Blackburn, age 90, of Summerville, S.C., formerly of Lenoir, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at The Village of Summerville. She was born April 19, 1922 in Caldwell County to the late Milton P. and Mary Ella Curtis Suddreth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon S. Daniels, Jr. and second husband, Edwin D. Blackburn; five brothers, Felix, Maynard, Coy, Jones and Luther Suddreth; and three sisters, Emma Franklin, Edna Miller and Viola Suddreth. Mrs. Blackburn was a retired seamstress from Singer Furniture and was a life-time member of Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Vernon S. Daniels, III and wife Marcie of Summerville and Mrs. Cheryl Daniels Kite and husband Kim Alan of Summerville; one sister, Jessie Ford and husband June of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Salve Regina Miller Pember and husband Brian, Michael Anthony Miller and wife Tina, Dr. Joseph Bernard Miller and wife Stacy, Ernest J. Miller, III and Andrew Daniels; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Barbee, Cameron Sanpedro, Daniel Cole Miller and J. Braxton Miller. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Nelson's Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Eddie Summerlin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
