Leila Ursula Morrison Holcombe Hendersonville, NC - Leila Ursula Morrison Holcombe, 97, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, wife of Edwin Franklin Holcombe, Sr., entered into eternal rest Monday, February 5, 2018. A service will be held at the graveside Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church Cemetery, McClellanville, SC, at 2:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Mills River Presbyterian Church, Mills River, NC, at 3:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Charleston. Leila was born May 28, 1920 in McClellanville, South Carolina, daughter of the late Wells Leland Morrison and Mary Eugenie Mackintosh Morrison. She attended Montreat College and was an accomplished portrait photographer. She also employed her considerable artistic skill colorizing portraits. Leila loved art, painting, photography, seafood of all kinds, collecting coins and historical artifacts, and studying the Bible and hymns. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Edwin; two sons: Edwin Franklin Holcombe, Jr. (Valerie) of Hendersonville, NC, John Morrison Holcombe (Lori) of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Elizabeth Eugenie Holcombe of Delray Beach, FL; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
