Leigh Snelgrove Obituary

Mrs. Snelgrove brought smiles and joy to all of her students and made me not totally hate my biology class. Other than being a fantastic teacher, she was an even better person whose positivity was infectious. Everyone who knew her felt a great loss with her passing, and she will never be forgotten. Fly High Leigh, may she Rest In Peace.

I was very sad to hear of the loss of Leigh, she touched so many people during her life and will be missed. In my 21 years of working at AC Flora, Leigh was one of the most upbeat and positive person we ever had on Flora's campus. May she rest in peace and the family also, knowing just how many students Leigh has inspired because of how positive and kind she was.

Stephen and I never had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful person but from what we've been reading and hearing about she must have been a special person to many. Leigh Snelgrove was one of my student teachers at White Knoll High School. She was extremely bright, creative, and had that "passion" for education that is so needed in education right now. I wanted her to stay at WKHS because I could see her potential. A wonderful young person and educator gone too soon. I am praying for Leigh's family in this difficult time. Leigh was an amazing and selfless friend. I will treasure our memories as teenagers growing up in a small town. Theyre filled with lots of laughter, sleepovers, prom, and driving around singing to music as loudly as our car stereos would allow.
Ill continue to pray for peace for her family and friends. I take comfort in knowing she is watching over us all and well see her again one day.

Ms. Snelgrove was one of the kindest people I have ever met and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Ms. Snelgrove, is a completely irreplaceable soul. From her never ending cheerfulness to her incredible determination, there is truly no other person like her. Ms. Snelgrove was my teacher at Academic Magnet and in my entire life I have never and will never, have a better one. She truly made me love learning, and her class was always the very best part of my week. Ms. Snelgrove, you will be dearly missed and never forgotten. We will always love you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the loss of Ms. Snelgrove. I did not know her or the family but I had a sister to pass away with a glioblastoma on October 22, 2019. She was 76. I feel your sorrow. May God be with you all.

Leigh touched the heart and mind of my son with her passion for science and her compassion for all her students. He will carry the light of her being with him for the rest of his life. My most heartfelt condolences to your family.

We love Leigh and the entire Snelgrove/Johnson family. Leigh was blessed to be a part of such a wonderful, close-knit family and to be able to share in so many amazing adventures. From Disney World, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Edisto Beach, the Bahamas, Germany, and back, Leigh took advantage of every opportunity to truly live life. She also chose to go into the teaching profession, which is an adventure in and of itself. There is no doubt that she was an inspiration to her students and I bet someone will go into the teaching profession because of Leigh. She will always be remembered for her confidence, perseverance, and strength. May we be fortunate to live half as well as she did.

The death of a child through a parents' eyes is one of the most devastating horrors in their lifetime. My heart aches for your pain. A family is forever changed. May the love and closeness of your family give you support in this most difficult of times.

I am heartbroken over this news. Leigh was a bright and wonderful student in Wofford College's German program. I know that, as a student, she touched the lives of her students, as she did her classmates at Wofford. I will miss her smile. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Ms. Snelgrove was my Biology teacher at Academic Magnet. I truly cannot put into words the impact that she had not only on me but also on the dozens of other students she taught during her time at Magnet. She was truly one of the best people I have ever met, and she taught me so much more than just Freshman Biology. She taught me how to be more confident in who I am, how to spread kindness whenever possible, how to find joy in all aspects of life, and most importantly, how to be a better person. It is no surprise that her passing has brought my entire school together in mourning. We will cherish her memory for years to come, and we will never forget all that she gave to our school. While my son had her as his Biology teacher for a short time this year, he loved her. She engaged students in their learning and pursuit of deeper understanding. We are grateful to have had Miss Snelgrove touch his life. She will be missed.
