Timothy Limbert Obituary

Timothy Neal Limbert MT. PLEASANT - Tim Limbert, 46, died unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Tim led a life of service to his country, his community, his church, his teammates, and most importantly, his family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Tim was a 1994 Brush High School graduate and a 1998 Distinguished graduate of the United States Naval Academy, finishing 6th in his class. He served seven years in the US Navy as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer. He then received an MBA and MME from The University of Michigan. Tim was an avid lover of life: runner, surfer, gardener, bread baker, wood worker, cook, and most recently poet. Humble, genuine, he made all of those around him better. The most rewarding thing in Tim's life was coaching the Boy's Cross Country Team at Academic Magnet High School. He loved, and was loved by his wife, Holly (nee Braden); son, Carter (18); daughter, Whitney (14); parents, Dale (deceased) and Linda; brother, Matt (Wendy); sister-in-law, Nicole (Zach) Lewis; two nephews, and countless friends. A Celebration of Life and Thanksgiving for Tim will be held May 24 at 2:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to a charity of your choice. I was so so sorry to learn of Tim´s passing in the Michigan Engineer Magazine. Tim and I were partners on our General Motors Internship during his MBA at Michigan. We worked closely together everyday, as everyone referred to us as "The Tims." He was a fantastic partner and a huge mentor to me as I was still a young undergrad. This was 15 years ago, but I still remember how inspiring he was about his love of "just being a Dad." It was very life affirming to me about the importance of family life, especially when we were both in an important "career" moment in our internship. It was only 4months of my life, and 16 yrs ago, but I am so grateful for the mentorship, partnership, and example Tim set. I am sorry we didn´t stay in touch over the years, but he leaves a lasting legacy and will be fondly remembered. My condolences to his family, especially Holly, Carter and Whitney.

It's been hard to find the words. To be working, laughing and talking with Tim one week then hearing he had gone the next, was unimaginable.

I worked with Tim on and off over the years and always enjoyed the time I spent with him. He had a profound effect on everyone who worked with him and I will always remember fondly, the laughs we had and family stories we shared.

Holly, my deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I will miss Tim deeply, but I know he is in a glorious place.

He coached my son in cross country this past year as a freshman and had such a huge impact on him. He was such a great coach and inspired so many. He was so passionate about coaching and he touched the lives of so many that will carry that with them throughout their lives. "A good coach can change a game, a great coach can change a life" Sending prayers to the Limbert family.

I have known Tim since he was a student in one of my seventh grade math classes. I was fortunate to be able to follow his growth into manhood as he was also a neighbor. In recent years I've kept track of him through his mother-in-law who has become a close friend. My heart grieves with his family in this tragic and sudden loss. I'm sharing with you one of my favorite prayers:
O Lord, support us all the day long, until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in thy mercy grant us a safe lodging and a holy rest and peace at the last. Amen.
Having served his country, his church and his family well, may Tim now achieve that holy rest and peace.

Dear Limbert and Braden family, Our memories are from Cleveland days and your families at Mayfield UMC in Mayfield Village. In recent years our contact has been through Christmas letters only but they always contained news of each of you. Such great love and joy was expressed in those letters. Holly, Carter, and Whitney we send our love and prayers to you as you grieve such a great husband and father taken so soon. May your faith sustain you as God´s provides for your needs through those around you.
Sincerely, Bill and Judy Pittard and family
