Family, Friends and this blessed son that she loved with all her heart. This young women gave love in such unself ways, she never wanted anything back,she never wanted the center of attraction on her, she never needed to prove her gifts and caring for others by wearing a name tag or collar to prove her salvation,she was just what God used as His witness, a women who loved and gave in unself ways. You did'nt see her behind a pulpit.If you look at her heart you saw and angel. You see we entertain angels unaware and she was one.Her legacy and love for all types of people must always remain in our hearts. Always giving never selfish.When moma could'nt make it to the shop to have her hair done, you came over to our house and did her hair and you never complain. Thank you for being a friend to moma, she truly loved you and so did we. We will miss coming to the shop with her, the laughter and all the fun we had there. you made the shop felt like everyone who came there new each other and if they didn't, you better believe before they leave they would feel like family also. This was the kind of environment you set.Everyone laughing and talking like they all were friends forever. and it was all because of you. I remembered when I was in high school and went to Lorraine to get my hair done. I remembered speaking with her for hours and telling her I wanted to be a Cosmetologist. She told me to basically put my plans into action and encouraged me. I did become a Cosmetologist. Every time I saw her she had a smile on her face and she was so beautiful inside and out. She was certainly a jewel as you all already knew. I also remembered Amy doing my hair in a wrap and then some single braids. Amy and Lorraine made me wanted to do hair. I will always remember you for your words of wisdom and encouragement. Thank you for everything. Your words never allowed me to give up on what I wanted to become. Amy,if there is anything I can do let me know and that goes for everyone. Amy, I have always look up to you as a big sister. You all will definitely be in my prayers.

A Candle light for such a beautiful person.We never think that we would loose the ones that are so dear to us. The fun we had growing up together in church, how you would come to my mom house and play. all the times I've laugh at you singing your part solo part on the beginners choir in church.The many speeches you've said in church. Then you grew up to be this beautiful person who was so giving of her time and herself.Never selfish to anyone. I saw how you cared not only for your clients doing our hair but how you treated so many of your customers by helping with there everyday needs, babysitting and picking their kids up from school and keeping them while you worked,even on weekends they would be with you in the shop because they loved you so much.The time you spent helping with the people living in Joseph Floyd you gave unselfishly of your time and I know they will truly with their whole heart miss you. My heart is so heavy right now. But you fought the good fight, you kept the faith.Now all your struggles are over.I will our talks things we've shared with each other(Lucy, Lucy (SMILE) and Mont she loved you so much. I have truly lost a beautiful friend. The laughter we've had in the beauty shop, never a dull moment. Our hearts are very heavy with grief to hear of the passing of Von. She and I were very close. I've known Von since she was in Cosmetology with my younger sister Anna at Burke High School. I later became a client of hers and has been ever since. When she confided in me about her sickness, we talked and prayed about it. Von was a very caring, giving and loving person. She was not selfish. She gave of her time and her talents to all she encountered. She will always be in my heart! May God strengthen your hearts for weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning. Rest in peace Von for you have fought the good fight.

Dear Sister,
