LAURIE VAUDRIN-PLANTE Obituary
Ms. Laurie Vaudrin-Plante, age 52 years, died unexpectedly in Geraldton on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Born and raised in Geraldton, she moved to Thunder Bay to complete her High School. Laurie attended Confederation College, training as a support worker for children and families. She returned to Geraldton around 2018.
Laurie loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and foraging for mushrooms and fiddleheads. She enjoyed crafting and playing with her grandson, Volcom. Kind and gentle, Laurie found fulfillment in helping those around her, no matter the circumstances.
She is survived by her husband, Danny; parents, Lorne and Valerie Vaudrin; children, Maxwell and Zackary (Ally); grandchildren, Volcom and Viktor; siblings, Leonard (Cindy) and Benjamin; uncle, Douglas (Nancy) and aunt, Betty.
Predeceased by her grandparents, Gus and Eva Wilson, Leonard and Lollie Vaudrin; Uncles, Joe, Raymond, Robert and Nelson; Aunts, Rose and Martina.
Funeral services for Laurie will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street, at Algoma with Deacon Pasquale Coccimiglio officiating.
Services complete in the chapel.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie's memory can be made to the Dew Drop Inn.
