Laurie Murdaugh Obituary

Laurie Anne Murdaugh passed from this life unexpectedly on February 2, 2026. Laurie touched many hearts with love, kindness and a sense of humor. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She loved children, serving in her church, spending time with family and vacationing in the mountains.

As the youngest sister of three, she had a gentle way of making people feel seen and loved. Her smile was constant, her heart generous, and her kindness came natural often putting herself last for the sake of others. You knew she cared if she joked with you, using humor as her quiet way of showing affection. She loved taking pictures, capturing simple moments, and nothing meant more to her than her nieces and nephews, whom she cherished deeply.

Laurie leaves behind her parents, Norman and Cindy Murdaugh, two sisters, Jennifer Payne (Michael) and Allison Thompson (Cade), nieces and nephews; Liam Payne, Sara Madison Payne, Finley Thompson and Olivia Thompson, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Laurie is predeceased by her grandparents, Rudolph and June Murdaugh, Glenn and Hazel Workman and uncle, Mark Workman.

Memorial service for Ms. Laurie Murdaugh will be held on Tuesday February 10, 2026 11:00 AM at Givhans Trinity Methodist Church 1514 Highway 61 Ridgeville SC 29472.
