Laura Albinus Obituary

Laura Jean Albinus SUMMERVILLE - Laura Jean Albinus, 85, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021. Her parents, Eugene and Laura Saunders, preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, George N. Albinus; brother, James Saunders; and daughter-in-law, Neliza Albinus. Laura Jean was an active member of the Ladd Springs Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee prior to declining health and moving to South Carolina. She loved serving those in need and did not want anyone to go hungry. To her family, Laura Jean was a most compassionate, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was fiercely devoted to her family and belief in God. Although her passing has left a hole in the hearts of those who loved her, there is confidence that she is with God, and no longer suffering in her earthly body. She is survived by daughter, Jean Nielsen and husband Eldon; son, George H. Albinus; brothers, Dean Saunders and John Saunders; sister, Phyllis Saunders; grandchildren, Jennifer Klich, Zachary Thurston, Benjamin Thurston, Danielle Albinus and Adam Albinus; David Nielsen; as well as great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Naomi and Nate Klich, Katherine Thurston, Allie and Cassidy Nielsen. Services and burial will take place in Tennessee where she lived for many years. Visit our guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/charleston
