Kitty Holt Obituary

I remember Kitty as a sweet pretty girl who was always friendly and kind .My prayers to all the family.

sorry to hear about Kitty,I knew her too, although not personally, I
went to Beaufort High School and she was a yr ahead of me. She certainly
did a lot of good things in her lifeand helped so many others. My
deepest sympathy for family and friends.

I am saddened to hear of Kitty's death. I have good memories of lunches and visits with her when I lived in Charleston a few years ago. Kitty and I grew up together in Beaufort, and she was always well-liked by everyone. She was a special person, and such a trooper in dealing with her illness. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Kitty, Your ship of Life left a mighty big wake. Valor was your story. We celebrate your release unto His hands. Thank you for the joy you gave us and for the three wonderful children you left behind. I know you listened from above to their testimonials at your funeral and beamed with pride over their love and respect--as did we all. Well done, my friend. Well done. Don Rutledge

Having been one of our Beaufort High classmates,Kitty attended our 20th reunion....many years ago. That was the first time (and last)I had seen her since the 9th grade. She was just as pretty then as she had been all those years before. She always had a beautiful smile, and a warm,welcoming spirit.

Dear Ed and Family,

There are no words to convey my feeling of loss to you. This we do know Kitty lost the battle to the disease, but she was a winner in life! Her legacy will live on. Kitty touched many, many lives with her humor, courage, wisdom and love of her family, friends and community. What a special person she was!

Just know that your faithful support enabled her to keep on going during the tough times. Without you this would have been impossible.

Kitty will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her. May God grant you and your family peace during this most difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I also went to Beaufort High with Kitty...I always thought she was precious both inside and out. I'm very sorry to hear of her family's loss. She was one of those people that you never forget.

I first met Kitty in Vance sitting by the fire in the log cabin on a cold November day at the McKoy family reunion. That was perhaps seven years ago. What a pleasant visit that was, as we all reminisced about our childhoods. The last tme that I saw Kitty was at the Day of Healing Prayer at St. Micahel's in July, 2007.
May it be a comfort to all that she is completely healed now and sitting with our Father in Heaven.

I was saddened to hear of Kitty's passing, but will always remember Kitty's warm smile and her gracious hospitality while visiting your home. She always welcomed my wife and I with open arms and made us feel as if we were part of the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Kitty's courage, generosity, and love for all things which God loves will never be forgotten. My own faith has been strengthened by hers, and she was certainly and wonderful friend of the LAMB children. I have great memories of her famous smile and her encouraging words and hugs. Kitty was a remarkable lady who lit up any room she entered. She must have worked with everyone at St. Philip's in some capacity over the years. We had that honor. No one was more involved than Kitty. We will always remember her graciousness and charm. She will be missed by all her knew her.

Please take comfort in the fact that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Ms. Holt is now in perfect peace. In all the years I worked for Ms. Holt she allowed God to be seen through her life living. I've been blessed to have crossed paths with her in this life. I pray that all who knew and loved her are blessed by God.

Katherine, Edward & Harold...I was so sad to hear the news about your mom when Grace called me yesterday. She was one of my favorite people I'd love to see when we would come down to Wrightsville Beach. I still remember her introducing me to the warm berry cobbler w/vanilla ice cream all those years ago at the beach! I have loved warm cobbler ever since & always think of her. You all take care of each other & I really wish I could be there tomorrow, but please know I will be thinking of you & praying for you all.
