Kenneth McNair Obituary

Kenneth D. McNair SUMMERVILLE - Kenneth McNair of Summerville, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2025, at 2 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st N. St., Summerville, SC, 29483. The family will receive friends from 1 o'clock until the time of service. Entombment will be private and flowers are accepted. Ken was born May 10, 1930, in Orlando, Florida, the son of the late Troy Lee McNair and Elizabeth Holloway McNair. He was an Army Air Corps/Air Force Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Ken dedicated his career to service in the US Government in Washington, DC. During this time, he served on the US Congress Committee for Foreign Appropriations, the Export Import Bank, and retired as a Senior Budget Analyst at the State Department. After retirement, he moved to South Carolina where he became the owner of Ken McNair Realty. Ken leaves behind a daughter, Wanda McNair Ellis (Art) of Summerville; beloved grandsons, Joshua and Justin Ellis of Summerville; a brother-in-law, Stoney Moore (Judy) of Myrtle Beach; nephews, Kenneth (Kathryn) and David McNair of Florida; and a niece, Kathy Moon (Dave).
