It is with a heavy heart that I write this response about hearing of Kenny's passing. Although my family no longer resides in Wilmington "El Cabong"and I had stayed in touch over the years. I'm happy to have been able to have stopped and visited with Kenny and his wife a couple of years ago when we were back home and talked about the good old days when he and I and Bill Norton used to hang around together on the Pike.
When I think of how he nearly polished off the paint on his 57 Chevy convertable it brings a smile to my face. We had a lot of fun together when we were all younger and I feel like a part of me has died to with his passing. He was a brother connected to me as a Veitnam Veteran and his respect for our fellow veterans will be rewarded when he enters heaven.
God Bless you my Brother you will not be forgotten.

Kenny and his children were family to me growing up. He was always there for me and willing to give of himself to help others in need. He will be greatly missed and I pray that he is in peace. My heart goes out to Cy and Wendy. May you both remember the good times we had with your dad. And may those memories help you get through this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With love and fond memories of our childhood. Kristen Podralski

I did not really know Ken but my father lived up the street from him. He saved my fathers life by breaking into his house when he heard him yelling for help. My sister and I will be forever grateful. He was a good man. Sandy and Cindy Myers

Ken was one of the finest men that I have ever known and he always treated me like a brother. He was a dedicated Veteran who always “Walked the Talk” when it came to his love of Country
and the Military. It was an Honor to know Ken and I will miss him greatly.

Kenny was a truly dedicated employee at General Motors, contributed greatly to our Maintenance Dept and to the Tech Training group which I had the pleasure of heading. He was caring, committed and someone you enjoyed being around. Thanks Kenny for all you did. God Bless

He was a great guy and a true Bud. I'll miss you Kenny. You're a great guy for a squid, but since you were a SeaBee you were almost a Marine.

Kenny was a good man. Always thoughtful and helpful. He was the kind of person you wanted to stop and talk to whenever you saw him. He helped my son learn to love fishing at BOJC and that says a great deal about how he wanted to pass on good things to the next generation.

Ken always referred to my husband as another of his "sons". We are both so saddened to hear of his passing as he was a guy with a huge heart who was passionate about his country and the freedom he fought to preserve. He lived his life on his own terms and offered no apologies for who he was. In other words, he was "Our kind of guy!" We will miss seeing Ken dearly and grieve for his family he is leaving behind.
