To the Washington Family:
May you find comfort in knowing that Kathy's life living was not in vain. She loved the Lord and served Him with gladness and joy. She will be missed but the many memories of her can go on forever. I think back now on the wonderful times we all shared at Baptist Hill High School. Those were glorious days. We should be proud of the love that kept on growing after many years have passed. I pray that God will bring you much comfort as you go through these days of weeping, remembering that "joy comes in the morning".

DIRECTIONS TO HEAVEN
First, make a right onto Believeth Boulevard. Keep going straight through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ. From there, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water. When you get off the bridge, make a right turn and keep going straight. You are on the Kings Highway- Heaven bound. Washington family keep looking up,because Kathy has already fought her fight, she's home and she's with the Lord. May God bless you and strengthen you thru this time.

To the Washington Family,
I felt bad not knowing of Kathy's recent illness and being in the hospital. Kathy and I developed a loving and kind relationship over the pass few years. She was one the memebers that would ask me to bring the word of God at First Zion. Just as always when I see her at church she is singing and praising to the Glory of God. My heart is sadden to hear of the passing of Kathy, she will be GREATLY missed. I can cetainly feel your pain, my brother went on home to be with the Lord about a month ago. Everyday the pain gets a little lighter. Only God can take you through this and he will just trust him and lean not unto your own understanding. Take comfort in knowing that she died in Christ and to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. With much Love and Prayers

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day

When I am dead, my dearest
When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
