It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a remarkable man, my father. He lived a life filled with resilience, independence and joy, especially after the passing of my mother. For many years, he embraced his autonomy, managing his daily life with grace-cooking his meals, and when he couldn't cook he ordered them from his favorite place, washing his own clothes and driving his car until well into his nineties.
While family is essential, it's important to recognize that my father thrived on his own terms. Prior to him being placed in a nursing home he was seldom in need of care in the way that some may suggest.

Let us remember him for the vibrant, self-sufficient person he was, celebrating his spirit and the lessons he imparted on us all about living life with dignity and strength.
Rest in peace Daddy, you will be deeply missed and fondly remembered

My grandfather was a true leader-within our family, in his Church, and most importantly, through the way he lived his life. Some of my most cherished memories are of the summers I spent with him, Grandma, and my cousins in South Carolina. "The ice cream story" lives on till this day. He was a strong man, but also a loving one, and he helped shape the values that made me who I am today.
As I grew older, I came to treasure the way our conversations evolved-the wisdom he shared, and the way he always seemed to know just what to say. It was an incredible blessing to see him live beyond 100 years, and what amazed me most was how sharp and full of life he remained. Even when we didn´t speak often, every conversation felt as if no time had passed.
He left a lasting legacy, and I will always be grateful for the time we had together. i could keep writing ..... I Love You Gramps!

Sending condolences to Mr. Snype family. Mr Snype and my father were roommates at The Victory House. He was a joy to sit down and listen to his stories of WWII. Mr. Julian Snipes is a true part of history and a hero. He would make me laugh when he talked of taking a stick to his children. I remember those days myself. Mr Snype, you will be missed. Gods bless you.

My grandfather was a protector and provider, caring for me and my cousins every summer during my childhood. There were only two men in my life who had a profound impact on me as I grew up, and he was one of them. Through countless examples, he showed me how a man should conduct himself and take care of his family.

I will deeply miss his jokes and playful banter. Although I wanted more time with him, I understand that it was his moment to move on to the next place, where he will be reunited with my grandma. Living for 100 and a half years was a true blessing, and I am grateful for every moment shared with him.

He will never be forgotten and will forever hold a place in my heart.

Sending sincerest condolences to my cousins. Uncle Junie left behind a beautiful family legacy. Having lived a century years young is AMAZING! I have fond memories as a child of my father (aka Uncle Sonny/James Cohen) driving the family from the Bronx to Queens to visit Uncle Junie and the family frequently. My parents had great admiration for him and beloved Aunt Kat. Uncle Junie was our Grandpa's brother. Thank you Uncle Junie for being a loving uncle and for all your sacrifice. RIP Uncle JunieLove Paula (Cohen) Bonner
