Julia Young Obituary

Julia Jones Young MT. PLEASANT - Julia Dean Jones Young, 86, formerly of Greer, widow of Harold Lloyd Young, died November 26, 2012. A native of Greer, SC she was a daughter of the late Itie Dill and William Jones, a former owner of the Fripp Island General Store, active in churches throughout her life, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant. She was a wonderful, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who leaves behind many memories. She loved her family and friends deeply. Survivors include her children, Danny S. Young of Paradise Island, Max H. Young (Nancy) of Gilbert, Tommy W. Young (Joann) of Mount Pleasant, David A. Young of Lexington and Carol Y. Fraylick (Tim) of Charleston; twelve grandchildren, Hampton Young, Ryan Young, Julie Huff, Richard Young, Traci Peters, Tommy Litwin, Kimberly Tuminski, Eric Young, Jason Young, Kristen Patrick, Courtney Irvin, and Caroline Fraylick; and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Jones (Rachel) and Ted Jones (Polly). She was predeceased by a son, William R. Young; four brothers, William Jones, Charles Jones, John Jones, and Jerry Jones and two sisters, Carolyn J. Pruitt and Winnie J. Satterfield. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Ron Dillon. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
