Her outgoing personality and helpful attitude was influencing all young people as far back as 1951 when she was secretary to Mr Russell Cross, the Supertendient of Cross High School. Dear Harriet, Many fond memories have I while growing up in the Cross community and going to school at Cross. Your mom was a delightful person to be around and was a mainstay at ole Cross High.

Dear Aunt Harriet, Allison, Audrey, and family,
I am so sorry that I couldn't come to be there with you for Aunt Jule's funeral. I wanted so to be able to sing "I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy" in her memory. I love you all with all my heart and thank you for understanding. I will miss her sweet smile, but I know she is in a better place today with Mother and Grandaddy!

Dear Harriet,
My mind goes back to a fish fry over at Uncle Bud's. There was a crowd, and we children were eating Red Horse bread and listening to Aunt Jule's stories while the fish was still cooking. It's difficult to believe that more than fifty years have passed since that evening.
She couldn't have had a more devoted daughter.
