Juanita Hill Obituary

Juanita Crowley Hill CHARLESTON - Juanita Crowley Hill, 96, of Charleston, SC, widow of Robert W. Hill, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 14, 2013. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 10:30 am until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Juanita was born August 22, 1916 in Florence County, SC, daughter of the late John Evans Crowley and Mary Isgette Crowley. She was a retired Librarian Technician with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church. Juanita volunteered at St. Francis Hospital Gift Shop and enjoyed special friendships. She loved her close knit family and spending time with them. Her family was most important to her and always enjoyed cooking for them. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandson. She is survived by her son, Rodney G. (Patricia) Hill of Charleston; granddaughter, Keri Ann (Rickey) Hughes of Charleston; grandsons, Chad Hill of Charleston and Rodney G. Hill, Jr. of Xiamen, China; great-grandson, Jordan Hughes; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Maude Pooser, Beatrice Richburg, Lucille Barfield, Mamie Collins, Elizabeth Johnson, John Wallace Crowley.
