Joseph Porter Bucknam Charleston - Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Joseph Porter Bucknam, husband of Judith Ann Bucknam, residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Monday, March 12, 2018, at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 440 Whilden St., Old Village, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 at 1:00. Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends in Sam's Hall. He was born on March 12, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona, a son of Joseph Robert Bucknam and Mavis Northroup Bucknam and later raised by his mother and stepfather, George Milton Goldsmith. He was a realtor with Carolina One Real Estate. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Administration. His career path included The Sheraton Corporation, Far West Services in Atlanta, GA, The Carolina Yacht Club and also owned several restaurants in Mt. Pleasant. He was an active member of St. Andrews participating in a weekly Men's bible study. Survivors include his wife, Judith Ann Bucknam; son, Matthew Rockne Bucknam (Chris) of Charleston, SC; daughters, Stephanie Bucknam Johnson (Richard) of Camarillo, CA, and Jeanne Hyde Bucknam of New York, NY; grandchildren, Allison Bucknam, Ansley Bucknam, Jack Bucknam, Scott Hasner, Matthew Johnson, Claire Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, stepchildren, Christopher Michael Barr (Tara) and Kevin Michael Kale (Laura) and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kimberly Bucknam Hughes of Opelika, AL.
