Joseph L. Bonaparte SAN DIEGO, CA, formerly of CHARLESTON - Mr. Joseph L. Bonaparte, 76, formally of Charleston, SC, passed away in Spring Valley, San Diego, California, on July 19, 2024. Funeral service for Mr. Bonaparte will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 1561 Mosstree Road #5223, North Charleston, SC 29405. He will be laid to rest in Beaufort National Cemetery; 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902, with Full Military Honors. Family will be receiving friends at the mortuary Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Mr. Bonaparte is survived by his nine siblings: Charles Bonaparte, Jr., Paul N. (Judy) Bonaparte, Rev. Dr. Alvin E. (Harriet) Bonaparte, Rev. Yvonne B. Gregg, Cornell D. Bonaparte, E. Michael Bonaparte, Hazel B. (Isaiah) Simmons, St. Dominic Bonaparte and Margaret B. Kelly.
