We grew up as kids across the street, climbed many trees, and built forts in many places. Enjoyed many trips to the Dunes Club on Sullivan's Island where we were King of the high dive. Though I hadn't seen Josey in 50 years I will always remember his laugh.

Joe was a great co-worker. i meet Joe over thirteen years ago when i transferred to the training center. I always enjoyed the time i spent with Joe. Eating at Cracker Barrel, Joe coming up to Columbia for OQ, bring pickles to snack on, listening to his Elvis music. We laughed a lot. Joe was a good man and I was blessed to know Joe Asbelle.

My neighbor, Joe, fought his best and through it all, kept smiling. I send my thoughts & caring to his family, especially Angela, also my neighbor.
