John Wactor Obituary

Yesterday a video popped up of his last day on GH and he was thanking everyone as he stood there in a hospital gown...this obituary came to my email today...I reread it...and sadness sinks in...thinking of the life this extraordinary young man had ahead of him...no sense to be made of what happened....I know you (his family including GH family) will forever miss him .... Sending loving thoughts to those who are hurting....think of him and smile...I'm sure that's what he would want...

Hello Mrs. Wactor, Johnny just came to my mind. I don't know why. Johnny was one of the kids at high school swim meets that parents from other teams rooted for, myself included. He was such a genuine person. I hope he's got a great pool in heaven.

I was a big fan of yours from general hospital you were a great actor and a great soul Love by many gone way too soon maybe eternal light of our Lord continue to shine on you.

Such a sad loss I've admired Johnny in all is work & especially his outdoor adventures will miss him !!!

My heart swells with pride remembering sweet little Johnny Wactor. Johnny quickly established himself as a winner on the Pine Forest Porpoises swim team. Even at a young age
he was serious about his performance and dutiful in his execution. He made coaching fun and rewarding! It delighted me to learn that he followed his passion for acting - there was never any question that he would find success in anything he pursued.
I will always remember those piercing blue eyes and blonde hair; he had charisma and a light that shined from within. You should be proud of the man he became. I will always remember him as a young and healthy and vibrant Southern gentleman. I am proud to have been his swim coach, thankful for those soaking wet hugs he so willingly gave after a victorious race, and blessed to know your family.

My deepest condolences to the family. I did not know Johnny personally, but I watched him on GH and followed him on Instagram. He was so full of life and had a natural magnetism and a beautiful, genuine smile. I will pray for the capture and punishment of the deviants who took his life.

There are not the right words for the magnitude of the loss. I'm so truly sorry. He made such an impact on those lucky enough to get to know him. A kind and genuinely warm and extremely talented man. May happy memories be a comfort and the knowledge he was well loved and will be long remembered.

This is a loss to the world. It's not often you see an actor and they are also a genuinely amazing human. I fell in love his first day on screen. I mourned him when he left the show and now I am heartbroken for his family and friends. The world is so cruel. God Bless the Wactor Family.

I am sorry for you loss he seem like a really great person and will be missed.

First and foremost, I'm sending my heartfelt condolences to those who were blessed to have been a part of Johnny's blood family, to those included in his circle of friends, or even those who were blessed enough to have even had just a 5min interaction with him.
Johnny, no doubt, touched the hearts of each and every one of them.

After seeing Johnny in a TV commercial for the medication, Gardasil 9, I remember thinking to myself, "From the exposure that this guy (I didn't know his name yet, because he hadn't become a part of the GH family yet), anyway, I digress, sorry. As I was saying, after seeing that TV commercial, featuring Johnny, I remember thinking to myself, "From the national exposure that he got from being featured in that TV commercial, hopefully one of the *big-wigs* in Hollywood, will see this TV commercial. Because if they do, they're going to want to snap this guy up for another acting gig, which will hopefully lead to a long standing role for him."

We all know that Johnny landed the role of "Brando Corbin" on General Hospital. That, is when I learned his name. Sadly, his role as Brando Corbin only lasted 2yrs. But, it left a wonderful lasting impression on this particular fan.

One thought that I try to concentrate on is that Johnny is now a guardian angel, watching over everyone that he knew and loved.

I may not be able to attend his funeral in person, but, my heart will be wrapped around those who are.
