John Venters Obituary

John David Julious Venters SUMMERVILLE - John David Julious Venters, 56, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Monday, December 23rd, 2024. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2pm to 3pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483, on Monday, December 30th, 2024. The funeral service will begin at 3:00pm in the Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens. David was born on September 22nd, 1968, in James Island, SC, the son of the Robert Venters and Louise Marlowe Venters. David attended Summerville High School but spent most of his time growing up in James Island, SC. David participated in many athletic events at the James Island YMCA. He was an excellent baseball player and earned a scholarship to Spartanburg Methodist College to play baseball. He was an avid weightlifter, loved watching any sport, especially baseball, and most of all, loved spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Louise Venters; his children: Amber Parnell (Brannon) and John Robert Julius Venters; his grandchildren: Cooper Parnell, Bowman Parnell, and Easton Parnell; a sister, Laura Venters Wood; as well as a niece, Kyra Wood.
