I met John when he worked at Ashley Bakery years ago. I often gave him a ride home from work. John was so loved by all of us, as he loved us just as deeply. John had the most engaging personality and that laugh. He would just have everyone hugging him, acknowledging him when he would walk into our place after his left Ashley Bakery. I never rode by him standing at the bus stop without stopping for John to ride with me until I took him home. I know he surely enriched all of your lives as he did ours....God Bless you all with peace knowing John was a fine man and he lives in heaven now.....Rhonda Smith...

JJ affectionately called me Auntie. His parents and my parents were dear friends. The family joined us for the annual Christmas sharing of gifts and breakfast representing the Morris Street Baptist family.
JJ was especially proud of his basketball skills and excelled in the sport.
He was a humble doorkeeper in the house of Our God.
Rest In Peace, JJ
