Jesse was a special man and part of a very special duo with Charlie Robinson for many years here at Navy Hospital Charleston. We have missed his wit and humor and caring touch since he retired from the corps of Red Cross Volunteers.

To The Harris Family,
May the peace of God be with you doing this time. I met Mr Harris about 25 years ago. I bought my first home from him. He helped me in the process as if I was his daughter. At twenty five, I did not know anything about buying a houes. I had the money and I wanted a house. I'm still sharing that story with people. He was a wonderful man. May God Bless you, and continue to keep his memory alive.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Jesse and Ruth's family at this sad time. My son and I visited Charleston last summer and got to visit Jesse one last time. Jesse and Ruth were like parents to me. I will never forget their generosity, kindness and love for others. Jesse's wise counsel was instrumental in the success of my career. I will never forget all the things he taught me. He truly was exemplary of the "greatest generation". We loved Jesse and Ruth and I am blessed for having been their friend. Heavenly Father, thank you for the life of Jesse Harris.

Mr. Jesse was a wonderful member of the little coffee group here at Alex's. He was smart, funny, and was still sharp as a tack! He was witty, and and had a great sense of humor. We will truly miss seeing him. Please find comfort in the prayers, and well wishes from all of those who truly loved Mr. Jesse. I will especially miss our talks on real estate, politics, the economy, or whatever else was on his mind. He was always a wealth of information. God Bless you Mr. Jesse.
