Jed was one of the first people I met when I moved to Charleston in 2008. He had bees and was looking for a beekeeper. I was a beekeeper looking for bees. Together we tended the bees and became good friends. In 2014, I moved back to Charleston after a two-year stint in Arizona. I needed a place to stay and Jed opened his house to me. I ended up living in his house for two and a half years. During that time he introduced me to a wonderful man named Mike. Jed and his love, Ann, were there when Mike and I were married in May of this year. It is hard for me to imagine a world without Jed's physical presence, but his generosity and love will live on in my heart.

I am so sorry to learn of Jed's passing. I worked with Jed at the College of Charleston as he led the refurbishment of 176 Lockwood. He was an excellent project manager who cared deeply about creating the perfect space for us at the Riley Center. He did it for us and many others, I am sure.

Heartfelt condolences to his wife, his son and all of the friends and family of this remarkable man.

This is just awful to hear about.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to Anton and Anne.
Jed was the greatest...he's been a good friend for many, many years from Folly.
What a great guy and he always had the best parties and invited the whole neighborhood for his birthday celebration. He will be missed more than words can say.
Such a true gentleman, they just don't come any better. So very, very sad for all.
Thoughts and prayers...

It's hard to believe Jed is gone, I'm sure he was the youngest of us all who lived the 602 experience. He never failed to clean my clock when we played cards - ever! Rest in peace Jed, you are in a far better place now my friend.
