Our condolences to Thierry and Olivier and remaining family. Jean-Michel was a friend and esteemed colleague here at the Medical University. We collaborated in many areas of the courses taught by our Department and he co-authored many chapters in the first six editions of the Medical Immunology textbook that I edited. He was dedicated to his family, students, and patients, and will be missed by all of us that knew him.

My deepest sympathies to the Goust family. Dr. Goust was one of the best professors and physicians that I had the pleasure to work with while in Graduate School at MUSC. He had a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye such that you never knew exactly what he was thinking. His knowledge of Immunology was unmatched.

Dr. Goust was, hands down, one of the best teachers I had while a graduate student at MUSC. Not only was he an engaging and challenging professor, he was a kind and spunky man. He made a lasting impression on all of his students and he will be remembered always.

Jean-Michel and Francois were wonderful heartwarming neighbors. I will always miss Jean- Michel's one armed hugs which he gave me every time we saw each other. The ceremony today was beautiful. Love, Laura Dolard

All my love and prayers to the Goust family. My husband Jason Golde was a patient of Dr. Goust's and he was so sweet and dear to him. I lost Jason in February but Dr. Goust never stopped being one of Jason's favorite doctors even after he retired. He will be very missed, he was the kindest of souls!

Dr.,Goust, Jimmy, will be sadly missed, but he will live in my heart forever and ever. He was far more than just my neurologist. All of us with MS, know how dedicated he was beyond just being a doctor. His memories that he shared, still bring joy and smiles to me. He was a personal friend for 34 years, and he will never ever be forgotten.
God Bless his family at this time of great sorrow.
