Janie Lemacks Obituary

Janie Hartley Lemacks JOHNS ISLAND - Janie Hartley Lemacks, 97, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2025, widow of Charles A. Lemacks. A daughter of Williams J. Hartley, Sr. and Leatheane Youmans Hartley. She was a retired bookkeeper. She is survived by three children, Shirley Tatum of San Antonio, Joyce Stewart of Texas, and Ricky Lemacks of Johns Island; Sister, Betty H. Hilton of Charleston; brother, Richard E. Hartley of Charleston; twenty-two grands, ten great-grands, and eight great-great-grands. She was predeceased by her sons, Bobby C. Lemacks of Johns Island, and Ray N. Lemacks of Napels, FL; and brother, William J. Hartley, Jr. (Faye) of Johns Island. She was member of First Baptist Church of Johns Island. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, in the First Baptist Church of Johns Island, 3483 Maybank Hwy., at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Johns Island Churchyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the First Baptist Church, 3483 Maybank Hwy., Johns Island, SC 29455 A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.
