I was so sorry to hear of Jimmy´s passing. I knew him as a neighbor and friend for 50 years. He was such an upbeat, positive and kind person who never met a stranger. I enjoyed talking with him on his neighborhood walks. My sincere condolences to Betty, Susan and Karen.

I worked with Jimmy on swing shift. He was an excellent, fair supervisor. I enjoyed his upbeat humor, and our "Power Walks" during lunch. One of the Best!

Our sincere condolences go out to the Tillman Family in this difficult time. We didn't know Jimmy that well, but clearly see he was a man of strong faith, and set the bar high for all of us to live in the Christian faith.
May God bless the Tillman family and give them strength to get through this trying time.

I have fond memories of seeing and talking to my cousin Jimmy over the years. I regret that I didn't stay in touch as we grew older. I pray that Jimmy's loved ones will feel God's comforting presence and amazing peace. Maybe sometime in the months ahead, Betty can call me (843 766-3936) to talk about some wonderful memories of Jimmy.

My uncle Jimmy was one of the kindest most gentle men I have ever known. All of my memories include him laughing and enjoying life. I am grateful for those memories. His passing leaves a hole and a cold spot in my world, but the warm place in my heart he created throughout my life with his love and joy will always remain. Betty, Susan, and Karen, I feel and understand your loss, but I hope you can find joy and comfort in your memories and in his life which was very well lived. I love you all.

So sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. Such a kind, thoughtful, loving person that he was shall forever be missed by those who knew him. One of my first recollections of him was his walking stick. A simple round handle with a hammer head for a grip. Simple and effective. I have and will continue to miss seeing him on his walks around the neighborhood.

I met Mr. Tillman years ago...I retired with Clemson and contacted him via Clemson... He was such a pleasant man to work with and you could feel his closeness to God..... I know he is in Heaven receiving his reward. Rest in Peace, Mr. Tillman... Mr. Jimmy was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. Always had a smile on his face and a killer hug for everyone! He never met a stranger and had something nice to say about everyone. He will be greatly missed by every member of the Hanahan Senior Center and my own family. Rest in Peace Mr. Jimmy. Your picture is hanging in our fitness center and will remain there so no one will forget you. Not that they ever could. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers.
