James Stadelman Obituary

James Stadelman, 81, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 30, 1944, in Teaneck, New Jersey to Frances (Way) and Henry Stadelman.

James was the beloved husband of Rosalie Stadelman, with whom he shared more than 40 years of marriage. He served his country as a member of the National Guard. A skilled electrician by trade, James dedicated over 45 years of work to Borealis in Rockport, NJ, where he eventually retired. Known for his strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities, he was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything. James found joy and wonder in the little things in this world. He loved his family, baking, traveling and fishing. He had a lifelong fascination with trains and airplanes, and appreciated the simple pleasures of working with his hands and being outdoors. James was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John the Beloved Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual strength.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Stadelman; his children: Gemma Iossa (Peter), Laura Holland (Kevin), and Karen Stadelman; his grandchildren: Marisa Iossa, Lance Holland, Isabelle Holland, Peter Iossa, Jr., Tyler Holland, Raelyn Hyson, Cristina Iossa, Alexis Hyson; his great grandson, George Mason Holland; as well as his siblings: Jane Burns and Henry Stadelman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Patricia Biggs.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will immediately follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens.
