James Salvo Obituary

SALVO, James James Vincent Salvo, Sr., 90, of Summerville, SC, widower of Mary B. Salvo, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, March 27, 2007 at Bethany United Methodist Church at eleven o'clock. Burial will be in St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning at PARKS FUNERAL HOME from 9:30 until 10:30 o'clock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 118 West Third South Street, Summerville, SC 29483 or to Summerville Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 592, Summerville, SC 29484. Mr. Salvo was born May 29, 1916 in Charleston County, SC, a son of the late Vincent Y. Salvo and Mary Almeida Salvo. He was retired as a marine machinist at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Pat Wannamaker and husband Copes of North Charleston, SC; two sons, James V. Salvo, Jr., and George A.
