James Gardner Obituary

James Paul Gardner SUMMERVILLE - James Paul Gardner, 68, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 4, 2022. James was born in Chicago Ridge, Illinois in 1953. In 1970, James joined the US Navy at 17 years old. He met the love of his life, Lynn, at the tender age of 15. They were married April 25, 1973. June 8, 1978 was marked on the calendar as James's Born Again birthdate, the day he was 'Saved by Grace'! In 1988, James and Lynn, along with their daughter, Jennifer, laid down roots in Summerville, SC. After 24 years in the US Navy, James retired as Senior Chief Petty Officer. James and Lynn would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this coming April. James was preceded by his sister, Renee' E. Gardner (1983), his parents, Jim and Della Gardner (2013), sister, Debbie L. Gardner (2019) and brother, Harry E. Gardner (2019). He is survived by his wife, Lynn M. Gardner (SC), daughter, Jennifer M. Gardner-Parker (Josh), granddaughter, Hayleigh, and grandsons, Connor and Jordan.
