Mimi and sons, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dr. Dias. I was one of his students and he was on my dissertation committee. Mimi, he often spoke of you and it was a pleasure meeting you at my graduation reception in Augusta. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear about this. I have many fond memories of Jim, as a teacher, colleague, mentor, and friend. He was very supportive of my academic endeavors and my career. I could always count on him to make me laugh. Blessings of comfort and peace to those that are closest to him.

Jim Dias was such a cool guy. When he finally retired the last time, he started coming to Thursday Coffee at Sojourn with the Coffee Bunch. He was such a talented story teller. I am having to go back and type past tense as I write each sentence. I've considered Mimi family for years, but Jim became an important person to me also. Nichols and I will treasure our times with him.

Love,
Colleen Condon, Esq, J.D., LFPINC of course

I am extremely saddened to hear the news about Jim. He was a great colleague, a true friend, and we were regular lunch buddies at work, at the Medical College of Georgia. My wife and I were always very fond of Jim and Mimi, and we will truly miss Jim. Our thoughts are with Mimi, Nathan, Aaron and all the family members.

So very sorry to hear this news which I just heard today. Jim was always a good friend to me on my occasional visits to Charleston, and great fun too as well as being very helpful re computers whilst I was working on a novel. On a couple of occasions he met me off the plane and took me off to large sea food meal. I have tried to find the photo of us in a Sumo position outside a Japanese restaurant we visited once, but have failed to locate it; but I have found one inside the restaurant watching the chef. Jim is at the far end of the table. Thoughts to Mimi, sons and family. Very sad.
