James Crull Obituary

Jay Crull was my friend. And I haven't had many. I miss him. 13 yrs later, and he still leaves his mark.

Jay, I will always remember you with a smile. Crash comfortably without reaching for the brakes! (a quote I got from another friend, and found it suitable to describe Jay.) I hope more people try to take a page out of Jay's book. The world would be a better place.

Michelle; We just heard about the death of your husband. We want you to know that you will be in our prayers. We heard he was a wonderful person. We wish you and Aspen a wonderful future life.

Jay was a great person and a wonderful cousin. As much as a free spirit that he was, he also always found time to help a friend or family member. I am very sorry that I was not able to see Jay the last time I was in town.

My thoughts & prayers are with you now and in the days to come. Jay was an old high school love, we dated many times and yes he was always in the fast lane, but you never had a dull moment when you were with him. Now he and his old buddy Randy Scott can continue on in their next life! RIP Jay.

Linda, Rhett, Megan, Lynn, Michele and Aspen - I know how hard this is for each of you and you all have your own ways of dealing with your loss. May you find comfort in knowing Jay is in a better place and may you rejoice in all the brightness and energy Jay brought to anyone he came in contact with. My hero and mentor....a man I will never forget. He taught me everything I know and he will never be replaced. Some of my favorite times were spent flying kites out on the dock with Jay.....not saying a word.....rare for the both of us. But sometimes we didn't need to speak....we would just listen to the bustle of life go by. No regrets....it is what it is..James Nelson Crull, Jr....a modern day cowboy and legend....

The obituary described him as we like to remember him and loved him for it. We are so sorry we missed the funeral and the chance to be with family.

Andrew's High School and we were in some classes together. He was always friendly and full of laughter. Every now and again, we would cross path and he was always the same "JAY", just like in high school - so friendly and upbeat and I miss him already. What a Jewel. My heart is very sadden for the family.

our friendship will never end, we were just alike. both living life to the fullest. we bragged , we boast, yet fun was always there with you. you were my man! from st. andrews to the years in the car business we endured, happy we both competed. the clothing we chose ,the jewels we wore, the rolexs, the breitlings, the chains. to top it off , when sporting one on the dog, surely you were the man! flipping a quarter for 100 was a game for us ,and even when i lost. iknew my man you would be there, without you i feel lost. but life for you, was so much fun,and now that its complete. one day i hope we meet again with heaven being the street. today i flipped the quarter jay....you won!

I had Jay for a few years as a Boy Scout and always thought that he would made it in life and anything else that he did,I will allways remenber him as one of a kind.I know that he will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Jay will live on in the memories of all the lives of the people he touched. I too knew Jay from St. Andrew's and living in Farmfield. He even threw me out a very fast boat in the Coburg Creek one day so I can relate to his need for speed. God Speed Jay, and bless your family and friends in the days ahead..

I became aquainted with Jay through my son "Kory Moore" several years ago & knew immediately, that Jay was a very special person. He was more than a friend to my son, but he was more of a mentor. They are not enough words to "Thank" Jay for everything he did for Kory & the positive impression he has made in my son's life. It tears could build a stairway, & memories a lane, I'd walk up to Heaven & bring Jay home to you again. May God be with you all.

To Jay's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Time is the only true healer...That, and the fact that you will one day all be reunited again. I met Jay in the mid 90's, he sold me my first BMW and gave me my first ride on a Harley. When I remember him ,the only thing that comes to mind is the term "larger than life". Maybe that's why God choose him to leave us all so early, He needed his help and contagious energy in ways that we can not understand. I am so happy that before Jay's untimely departure he found true love and became a father. His daughter will never have to wonder what kind of caring, giving man her Daddy was. May you all be blessed at this difficult time.

Jay lived his life on his terms and should always be respected for it. I remember a statement that certainly describes Jay as well as any, "He filled in the crossword puzzle of life with a Sharpie!". You will be missed by many and never forgotten by those who had the good fortune to really know you.

It seems like yesterday we were all in high school together. Such great memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the famiy of Mr. Crull: I am certain you all knew how caring and supportive this gentleman was. We the Staff and Children of Jenkins Institute appreciated his generosity and caring during this past christmas. He came here, pick up the children in a limo , gave them money and took them to the mall to spend it. What a great guy. These children will never forget that experience. We are sadden by his death, but know he will always have a special place in the hearts of so many people. Our sincere condolences to his family.

To All of Jay's Family, My Thoughts and Prayers are with you. I Don't think a better more fitting obituary has ever been written. I will always remember Jay's laughter and spirit for adventure. He was a good friend and helped me many times I will always remember. It is truly a sad loss of a person of his caliber.

I knew Jay 20 years ago - and he was full of himself then too! Through the years, I would bump into him now and again and he always had a big smile and hug for me. My husband passed away a few weeks ago, and I bet he is glad Jay is there with him - they are talking boats I know. God bless you Melanie for taking such good care of Jay.

Be yourself, an original is always better than a copy. There is no one who would or could copy Jay Crull. He was an ORIGINAL. I am proud to have called him my friend. Michelle take comfort in the best gift ever given by Jay,the precious Aspen. And know that Jay was well loved by everyone who ever crossed his path.

Jay you will be missed by many, and you'll still be with us in our thought's and memorie's.May god bless you and your family.

To the Crull family (especially you Rhett) I am very sad to hear of Jay's passing. For years he was the "mascot of fun and adventure"! Knew Jay as a young girl growing up in Farmfield, he was good friends with my brother. I remember Jay's smile and sense of humor, even after all these years. All my prayers to the family. I know he will be dearly missed.
