Jimmy was always kind, compassionate, professional, and all of his patients and colleagues valued his expertise, bedside manner and friendship! He and I became close friends when we worked at Medical College (MUSC) and at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Charleston SC. He was a valued member and asset to both hospitals. He was an excellent Resident and Attending Physician! Miss him! Cindy Jones Norris❤

This just happened to pop up on my phone. Maybe because he died in May and a reminder of the gold star thoracic surgeon and as many have commented was a kind , gentle , compassionate spirit! What a legacy! This proves that surgeons can be kind and caring and Jimmy was such a role model for all.

I grew up in Easley and was fortunate to know Jimmy Terry and Otis and have just learned of Jimmy's death. Terry was our football manager, Jimmy and I played football and had several classes together and Otis had a condo at Pawleys Island as I do. I was not aware of Jimmy's contribution to panic disorders but would be interested to know if there is written studies that he compiled on this subject as it affects so many of my friends and clients. My sincere sympathy in your loss of this kind and gentle man. Wendell Cantrell, Spartanburg SC

Iwas so sorry to hear of Dr. Bs death.During the years he was in Columbia ,I learned so much from him. There were some stressful times, but more good times. The jokes and stories about his antics at Clemson kept everyone laughing.I can still hear strains of Dr.Hook coming from OR #18 when he was in surgery!
