James Baker Obituary

BAKER, James ST. STEPHENS - Mr. James W. Jay Baker, 68, died November 2, 2007 in the Veteran's Hospital in Charleston after an illness. Mr. Baker was born in Clarendon County, a son of the late Hyatt Haselden Baker and the late Ellen Vernice Baker. He retired as a furniture salesman form Baker Furniture of Kingstree, was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church, and was a soldier in the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. Mr. Baker was also an avid fisherman and a very dedicated family man. Survivors include his two daughters, Tina Baker Kuhlmann (Joey) of Summerville and Toni Baker Morris (Lannie) of Lugoff; one son, James W. Jamie Baker III of Daniel Island; one sister, Virginia Gin Baker Grimsley (William) of Goose Creek; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and two nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M, Monday, November 5, 2007 in the Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
