Jacob Webb Obituary

May God comfort you in the hope. If an able-bodied man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait. Until my relief comes.

Jake and I went to pre-school together. It hurts my heart to hear about this as my last memories of him were the two of us playing as little kids. You and your family are in my prayers.

I started Summerville High School, more or less not knowing anyone. I met a guy who instantly made me laugh and made me feel comfortable. His name was Jacob Scott Webb. We had our ups and downs, but I always remember Jacob running down the halls my freshman year to come and "bother" me. I would always laugh because no one else could purposely annoy me and be so covertly kind as to include the new girl. I am going to miss you Jake, be kind to all the new girls in heaven. They will secretly always be grateful to you. I know God has a "special hall pass" for someone as special as you! God bless your family and friends who are devastated to lose you way too early!! I am speechless... but want you both to know that your son made such an impression on my son, Maclin. He sat next to him in most of his engineering courses this year and Maclin is devastated and will dearly miss Jacob, as he said he was just the best and kindest friend anyone could hope to have. You have and will remain in our hearts!!!!

I am so sorry for your lost. My granddaughter was the flower girl in Kristy and Ashley wedding at that time had a crush on Jacob. I lost my son 7-17-1997 he was 25 years old. My heart hurts for you I share your pain.Its so hard but you learn to live with it. My prayers are with you.

I have been in a fog since Wednesday. It's unfathomable to me. When I think of Evan and Savannah's childhood, Jake is right there in my memories. My heart aches and aches for you. You are exceptional parents (and that is obvious with jake's numerous accomplishments!) You both always made my children feel like family. As tears flow, I continue to pray for you both and all of Jacob's family and many friends who are suffering.

He struck me as an exemplary young man, which is a testament to the job you did raising him. Your family will be in our family's thoughts and prayers. Words can't convey how heavy our hearts feel about the loss of your dear son. Though I didn't not know him, I knew OF him. He and my son met in middle school in band and stayed in touch even while at Clemson. Brian always thought very highly of Jacob and considered him a friend. It has been a long time since we have seen each other. Samantha and I will be praying for you. I am so sorry this has happened to your son. We only remember Jacob as a small boy, however, it is clear he grew up to be a strong man and blessed a lot of people in his life. Our love goes out to you!

Please accept my entire families condolences upon the loss of Jake. My wife and I had met Jake thru my son, SAE Brother Adam Harrison. We loved him from the first minute we met him. Adam has called and emailed me countless times the past few days, crying and so upset over the loss of Jake. They were not just SAE Brothers but close friends also. Both sat beside one another in Engineering classes at Clemson. Adam loved Jake and as he has told me tomorrow, Saturday, will be the hardest thing he has ever had to do, come say goodbye to him until they are once again joined together. They both shared seats together Tuesday on the Engineering trip to Columbia and while Adam has told me he has many, many regrets now about not spending more time with Jake, he says the hardest one to deal with now is after getting back Tuesday and not going downtown for a while with him after Jake asked him to. The picture I have attached is now my son's FaceBook background cover.

Watching Jacob grow up with my son was such a pleasure. He was an outstanding young man. My sympathies to the family. May God bring you the peace and His Grace to get you through this difficult time.

Mr and Mrs.Webb, the summer of my sixth grade year I had the pleasure of meeting Jacob at Camp Point Clear. He was my counselor for tubing and skiing. Although this was a while ago I remember Jacob perfectly. He was adored by every single camper and staff, and lit up the whole camp. He was funny, and always made sure we were having a great time. I'm so saddened by your loss and am keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God bring your family peace and comfort.

As his former 6th grade math teacher, I have to say that Jacob was one of my favorites! He was so intelligent and had a great sense of humor.
