Jackie Willard Hunter CHARLESTON - Jackie Willard Hunter, 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Joyce Rhode Hunter, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 27, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 56 Center Street, Folly Beach, at 10:00 a.m. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Jack was born August 12, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Willard Warren Hunter and Hazel Rudd Hunter. He was a graduate of Trident Technical College and retired as Owner with Hunter Services. Jack was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, the Islander's Shag Club and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; two sons: Michael Warren Hunter, Bryan Wagner Hunter both of Charleston, SC; three grandsons: Michael Lee Hunter of Tyler, TX, Matthew Hunter, Trenton Bryan Hunter both of Charleston, SC; brother, Randolph Warren "Randy" Hunter (Patty) of Charleston, SC, four nephews and many good friends.
