Mr. Kurtz was one of the first business people who took me into his confidence on how Charleston needed to be improved. He worked quietly with City of Charleston and Charleston County staff to get good ideas moving in the right direction. He was a champion for me in the Jewish Community in Charleston and pushed me into helping people who needed real estate information and advice.
He will be remembered fondly for his dedication to helping people. Prayers for his family and many friends.

Our hearts ache at the passing of Jack. He always had a ready story and a glint in his eye of the stories yet untold. Our family had the pleasure to know him through his son Charles. We will remember him fondly.
